Sambhram University officially opened in Jizzakh

A solemn event dedicated to the opening of this university was held in the city of Jizzakh within the framework of the implementation of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 29, 2021 “On measures to establish the “Sambhram” University in the city of Jizzakh”. Speaking at the ceremony, the regional governor Ergash Saliyev, the head of the “Sambhram Group”, Dr. Nagaraj Venketej and others noted that the cornerstone of development, the force that makes a country powerful and a nation great, is science, education and upbringing, and that a lot of effort and money are being directed to the development of the education system in Uzbekistan and the training of qualified personnel. As a result, it was noted that new qualitative changes are taking place in the activities of preschool education, school and higher education systems, and scientific research institutions. In order to create a healthy competitive environment in the field of higher education, it is important to establish at least one non-state higher education institution in each region. The development of information technologies and the training of qualified personnel in the field are among the priority tasks facing higher education institutions. The “Digital Uzbekistan - 2030” strategy is a vivid example of this. In order to implement these priority tasks, this university was established in the regional center in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to establish the “Sambhram” University in the city of Jizzakh” dated June 29, 2021. Sambhram University is located in the Bangalore province of India, - said the governor of Jizzakh region Ergash Saliyev. - 25 years ago, the province was one of the most backward regions of the country. As a result of the attention paid to the IT (Information and Technology) sector, today the province exports IT products worth $ 45 billion. This sector accounts for 60 percent of the region's economy. As a result, Bangalore has become one of the most advanced regions of India today. After the event, Dr. V. Nagaraj presented the guests with symbolic gifts from the university. Then, it was announced that Sambram University in Jizzakh had officially started its activities, and the participants were introduced to the university's computer laboratory. Sambram University (India) is a non-governmental higher education institution, where education is carried out in the form of full-time education, in English, and on a fee-based contract basis. In the 2021-2022 academic year, the university admitted 1,501 students in 3 bachelor's programs with a duration of 4 years (full-time) and 2 master's programs with a duration of 2 years. Graduates of this university are awarded a diploma that is recognized as a document of higher education in Uzbekistan and India.
