In order to ensure the implementation of the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the further development and wide popularization of cybersports in the country on November 16, for the first time in our region, a competition for students of higher educational institutions in cybersports - computer sports was organized. This competition was organized in order to meaningfully organize the free time of our youth in today's era, at the initiative of Jizzakh Sambhram University, in cooperation with the Jizzakh regional administration, the Youth Affairs Agency, and Valkyrie eSports. The competition was held on December 15-17 this year. Teams consisting of students from 5 higher educational institutions in Jizzakh region participated in the competition, and according to the results of strong competitions: 1st place: Sambhram University team; 2nd place: Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute team; 3rd place: Jizzakh branch team of the National University of Uzbekistan. and were recognized as the winners of the competition: the team that won the best 1st place received 7,000,000 soums, the 2nd place received 2,000,000 soums, and the 3rd place team received 1,000,000 soums in cash prizes, as well as special diplomas and souvenirs. Most importantly, this e-sports competition was held entirely online. The main games of the competition were broadcast live on the Valkyrie eSports club's YouTube channel. More than 30 participants took part in this year's competition. E-sports has been gaining popularity in recent years. If earlier the attitude towards computer games was ambiguous and even somewhat negative, now the world of computer games and the attitude towards it has changed significantly. Esports is rapidly developing as a full-fledged sports industry.
